How Traffic Is Counted & How to Choose Your Plan
ClickCease monitors all traffic that arrives at your website. We leverage extensive behavioural and technical signals to identify, block, and eliminate fraud. Because all traffic is evaluated to power accurate protection, you should choose your plan based on your total forecasted monthly or annual average total traffic — not only the subset of traffic you want to protect.
Recommendation: Review the last 3–6 months of traffic, calculate a reasonable monthly average, and select the tier whose included traffic comfortably covers that figure. Occasional spikes are handled fairly by our overages model.
What is being counted towards your usage?
In ClickCease, Traffic count includes any user activity on your website that CHEQ detects or blocks, including internal page views and ad-driven visits/clicks, etc. This includes direct, organic, and paid sources.

Cascading Overages
Traffic can spike. With cascading overages, you only pay for the extra traffic actually used, billed at a lower price step-by-step as you cross each threshold. There is no forced plan jump for a one-off spike. The more traffic, the less the cost.
Why this is better
- You pay for usage, not an entire higher plan.
- Each step has a known per- total traffic price, and each subsequent step has a lower cost per total traffic.
- The math is transparent and easy to reproduce.
Quick example (how cascading overages add up)
Example:
You’re on a plan that includes 5,000 total traffic per month, and you used 12,500. Amount of exceeded traffic = 7,500.
Overage is calculated tier by tier. You’re charged only for the extra traffic in each tier at that tier’s per-total traffic overage rate.
Step 1 — Tier1
5,000 extra traffic × $0.017000 = $85
Step 2 — Tier2 portion of the next tier
2,500 extra traffic × $0.014286 = $35.715

How Overages Are Detected & Billed
- We monitor usage against your plan’s included total traffic per month or per year. If excess use is detected, you’ll receive an in-app notification at certain thresholds.
- Overage Charges are calculated and billed at the end of your billing cycle (monthly or annual).
- If your usage remains higher over time, we may recommend (or apply) a plan change so pricing better matches your ongoing traffic.
Billing & Renewals
- Monthly or annual: choose at signup. Changes you make generally apply to the next billing cycle.
- Payment methods: major credit cards (via Stripe).
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in-app during the current cycle.
- Refunds: payments are non-refundable, including mid-term cancellations.
